EODev conquers North America with the Canadian group AKA

Aspin Kemp & Associates (AKA), a leader in power and propulsion technologies, is committed to the improvement of its environmental impact by partnering with EODev, a specialist in silent, emission-free hydrogen energy solutions. With an initial order for three GEH₂® to be used at construction sites and two REXH₂® that will soon be integrated into a ship, the Canadian company is proving that the North American market is a forward-thinking pioneer in the adoption of hydrogen-based energy production solutions.

A North American market committed to clean energy production

In 2016, the Canadian and U.S. governments jointly undertook to work toward a zero-emission future and increase clean energy production. Aspin Kemp & Associates (AKA) has pioneered many innovative and patented technologies, such as Advanced Generator Protection (AGP), AKA Hybrid Propulsion Solution and Hybrid Drill Floor for ultra-deepwater drillships.

In line with its environmental approach and its quest for low-carbon alternatives, the Canadian group has opted for EODev's GEH₂® onshore and REXH₂® offshore flagship solutions, to diversify its product range and participate in national decarbonization objectives.

With a huge territory, an electricity grid less reliable than the one we know in Europe, and important maritime mileage, the North American market is ideal to favor the deployment of EODev solutions.

Jason Aspin, CEO Aspin Kemp & Associates: “Announcing our newest partnership with EODev today, is not only a great pleasure but it is met with great excitement by our team and partners. It represents the next step AKA is taking towards offering innovative and proven solutions for a net-zero future. Together with EODev, we are looking forward to bringing this technology to market and working with Hydrogen fuel cells as they will form an important part of the energy mix leading us forward on a greener path.”

Stephane Jardin, EODev Business Manager: “From the beginning of our discussions, the idea of a partnership with AKA quickly became obvious and we are delighted to open the North American chapter of the EODev story with them. Beyond their vast expertise in the fields of energy and propulsion, we share a common ambition to accelerate the energy transition through our clean and innovative solutions. We look forward to sharing with you our first projects in this promising market.“

This approach is supported by the Canadian authorities, who have included hydrogen in their 2021 budget and identified it as a viable way to reduce their national emissions.
